American Airlines Cargo and cargo.one have extended their partnership to bring all of the US carrier’s domestic freight capacity to the latter’s digital air cargo booking platform.
US forwarders using the cargo.one platform now have improved digital access to American’s domestic network, which spans more than 115 US destinations, being able to book general cargo for a US origin or destination on American Airlines Cargo using ConfirmedFS and ExpediteFS products.
Cargo agents can use the platform to identify, quote and book American Airlines Cargo domestic capacity end-to-end, 24 hours a day.
This capacity spans the entire US market and includes all American flights and trucks that can accept cargo bookings.
Greg Schwendinger, president of American Airlines Cargo, remarked: “Partnering with cargo.one remains a cornerstone of our digital distribution strategy, and the platform offers us an innovative means to bring our domestic services to thousands more forwarders across our footprint.
“This expansion marks a strategic step in our effort to provide more options for customers to do business with us digitally.”
Moritz Claussen, founder and co-chief executive of cargo.one, added: “US forwarders now have a combination of American’s domestic services and the market’s best digital quoting and booking experience.”
The two businesses have worked together since 2021.
Cargo.one was founded in 2017 as a platform for booking and marketing airfreight capacity. It is used by over 20,000 freight forwarders in 121 countries and offers instant booking for airline and agent rates across more than 60 airlines.
